Second Language Acquisition

This article looks at the issues of second language acquisition and comes up with very sensible suggestions and solutions which Hong Kong teachers on the course feel need to be shared with their Panels in order to improve the quality of second language learning.

The pictures show teachers feeding back on best practice of second language learning, taken from the article.  The feedback is slanted at advice to their English Panel - things that need to be taken into account.

I think the message is that too much time in Hong Kong is spent on the structure of language - the grammar especially-  and not enough on actually speaking.

Client Feedback

The feedback has been great from the staff. More importantly one of our staff who has struggled previously has hit the ground running this year. There have been immediate spin offs from the PD with staff keen to let me know where some of the simpler strategies are already being used in class.
